VergeCloud Activity Log – Track and Audit All Account Actions

Activity Log

Activity Log

The Activity Log provides a comprehensive history of all actions taken across your VergeCloud organisation. It captures every significant event—whether performed by a user or via an API key—along with essential metadata such as timestamps, domain scope, and action type.

Use Cases

  • Track and review all actions performed within the organisation. Any operation that causes a change or trigger is automatically logged for audit and traceability.
  • Monitor access and changes made by specific users or API keys.
  • Audit system activity for compliance or incident investigation.

Activity Table

The log table displays:

  • Action Date: When the action was performed.
  • Action Type: A description of what was done (e.g., Create DNS Record, Enable MFA).
  • Domain: Scope of action (domain-specific or system-wide).
  • Performer: Identifies whether a user or an API key triggered the action.
  • User: The name of the person or application responsible for the action.

Log Details

Clicking the “eye” icon for a log entry opens detailed request and response logs, including:

  • HTTP Method and URI
  • Request Body with payload details
  • Response Code and Server Message

Filtering

Logs can be filtered by time using quick filters (e.g., 3 Hours, 6 Hours, 12 Hours, 24 Hours, 7 Days, 30 Days), as well as by specific members and domains to isolate changes based on actor or scope.

Best Practices & Considerations

  • Visibility: All actions are automatically recorded—no extra setup needed.
  • Accountability: Each log ties back to a user or key, ensuring traceability.
  • Filtering: Narrowing logs by scope or time improves readability and performance.
