Managing the Member List in VergeCloud Organizations

Invite User

Member List

The Member List section displays all users in your VergeCloud organization and helps you manage access through roles and scopes. From this page, you can view active members, send new invitations, assign roles, and monitor pending invites. Roles define what a user can do, and scopes define where they can do it.

Sections

Active Members

Shows all users who have joined your organization. Each entry includes:

  • Email – The user's login and identity.
  • Roles – The permissions assigned to the user, such as Admin or DNS Manager.
  • Actions – Options to update roles or revoke access.

Pending Invitations

Lists users who have been invited but haven’t accepted yet. Each entry includes:

  • Email – The email address used for the invite.
  • Roles – Roles that will be granted upon joining.
  • Expires In – Invitations automatically expire after 7 days.
  • Actions – Cancel or resend the invitation.

Activity Logs

Tracks membership actions such as user additions, role changes, and revocations. This section helps audit permission changes over time.

Invite User Wizard

Step 1: Add User

Enter the email address to invite a user to your organization. Each invitation is sent to a unique email address, which cannot be changed once sent.

  • Email – Required. Must be a valid, unregistered VergeCloud account or an email not currently in the organization.

Step 2: Select Access Scope

Choose the level of access the user will have. Scopes define where the assigned roles will apply.

  • All Services – Grants access across the entire organization, including future services and entities.
  • Specific Services – Limit access to their respective domains.

Step 3: Assign Roles

Choose one or more predefined roles. Roles cannot be customized, and control what the user can do.

  • Admin – Full administrative access.
  • Read-Only Admin – View-only permissions.
  • Billing Manager - Access to manage Billing records.
  • Cache Purger – Permission to purge CDN cache.
  • DNS Manager – Access to manage DNS records.
  • Security Manager – Configure WAF, DDoS, and other protections.
  • Traffic Manager – Control routing and load balancing.
  • Insights Analyst – Read access to analytics and performance dashboards.

Considerations

  • Email immutability: Once an invitation is sent, the email address cannot be edited. Cancel and resend to a different address if needed.
  • Scope-linked roles: Roles apply only to the scope selected in Step 2.
  • Invitation expiry: Invitations expire after 7 days if not accepted.
  • Audit trail: All member and role actions are logged in the Activity Logs.
